Dark Urine

My urine has been dark and I know it is because I am not drinking enough water. I am starting to put a little bit of Gatorade in my water in order to be able to drink more water. Has anybody else dealt with this issue? I certainly do not want my kidneys to fail.

what i am doing is mixing water with regular Gatorade. I bought a lot of Gatorade so I will use it for my water. Thank you everyone for your responses.

I am only eating about 500 calories per day so the little bit of calories from Gatorade isnt going to hurt me.

It’s not a good pretext to set, sugar laden beverages are not going to help with Weight loss no matter what the quantity is. A 20 ounce serving of Gatorade has 36 grams of sugar. If you’re drinking the water you’re supposed to be drinking 2.5 liters mixing that with sugar. You’re going to get a blood sugar spike and then a low which results in you eating more thus not losing as much as you could be. It’s your choice at the end of the day but no dietician or Surgeon would say adding sugar to your drinks is setting you up for long term success.
