Band removal and re-install?

Hi,

Has anyone had to have their band removed and then had a second one put in?

I had to have my band removed last fall due to a port infection. And I have ballooned in weight and my hormones and PCOS are all out of wack now. I am contemplating having a band surgery again as I can’t bear this (and the wait list for a sleeve is 3-5yrs).

Wanting to know is anyone has had success the second time around?

    I had a port infection after I had a tummy tuck. When I found out I had an infection my doctor just did a surgery to change the port. My band did not have to be taken out. It was a easy surgery and a quick fix. I just don't understand why your entire band was removed.
