Question for people currently on post op liquid phase

Actually I have two questions. The first one is about protein, what are you guys using for protein ? I don't think I am getting enough protein. I just bought ensure protein in the bottle and am going to try that, hope it is not too rich for my stomach.

Secondly, how are you guys doing with going number 2 ? I have been going at least once a day since 4. It is all liquid but weird, not to be disgusting. Just trying to understand my body.

I am having trouble with protein also. I bought 2 weeks worth from docs office , find I cannot stomach the taste of it. Bought Premier Protein from Costco, 30 grams of protein per shake. I got chocolate, that is at least drinkable. On the BM subject, I am going regular from day 6. Everyone is different. Good luck!

I wouldn't use the ensure as it isn't a great source of protein only 16 grams I think? You should get some whey protein powder (or whey isolate) and make it with fortified skim milk (Skim-Plus or Fairlife Fat Free) so that your 8oz shake is closer to 30 grams of protein.

As for the stool that's normal after all you haven't eaten anything you are just evacuating some liquids (and some fat). Trust me when you get to the puree stage you are going to miss your current BMs.
