Hi. Can people generally continue to take whatever medicines they need to take right after surgery? Or do you have trouble keeping things down?

It is pretty uncomfortable but yrs you can just take a small sip and with till it passes or break it in half if possible

I had one day off medicine and then went right back to taking my pills. I need to spread them out a bit, but have had no issues including the big anti-acid pill they had me take starting the day after surgery. It was pretty scary, not going to lie, but I've had no problems.

After surgery I found that I could no longer swallow large or even medium size pills. So I used pill splitters and pill crushers. After about 2 months post-op, I regained my ability to swallow and then life was great.
