Flying While Banded

Hi All!

I’ve had to take two round trip long haul flights since I’ve had my band and it hasn’t been the most pleasant experience. More than likely, the change in air pressure is impacting the band, which in turn is making my stomach feel incredibly gassy to the point of pain. Do any of you have experience flying with the band? If so, what do you do to minimize impact?

I haven't but I know my friend has. The flight caused a bubble of water in her band. She couldn't even keep water down. She had to have all the Saline taken out the band to clear the bubble and put straight back in. Easy fix, but caused a lot discomfort! I hope you feel better soon!

You must be very tight for the band to make such a difference. No way to tell unless you get a small unfill before flying sometime to see if it's the band or what?
