My doctor told me that the sutures last for a couple months before dissolving under the skin. I want to know how long until it stops being indented? Mine only indents when I flex my stomach muscles. To me, that looks worse than the scar itself. It's not a big deal but I'm wondering about others experience. Please share.

I was worried about the same thing. I looked down post surgery and was like, well, the indents are the cost of my weight getting out of hand and having to fix it surgically. However, I am happy to say that I no longer have the indents. I’m about 16 weeks out and the indents are gone. I don’t remember when they went away but am SO glad they did!!!!

I’m a little over 7 weeks post op and my “second belly button” as I called it immediately after surgery is almost completely gone.

I still have mine. Still indented quite a bit. Almost 5 months out.

I never had indentations, but had another surgery that caused one. In that case it was due to tissue removed and it took nearly a year to improve. Depending on the cause I think may disappear as weight comes off too.
