Pre-op testing and nicotine

Hi everyone! I went for my pre op testing last week. The center posts all my tests online, and all of the blood and urine tests came back normal. I was told that I would be tested for nicotine and would be cancelled if in my system. Has anyone went through this? Do you get the nicotine results back separately? I quit awhile ago, it’s just another thing for me to be nervous about. Don’t want to ask them as to raise any red flags !! Thanks for any input

  • The nicotine test usually takes several days to result. If you haven’t had any nicotine containing products recently you should be fine.
