Hi everyone! I went for my pre op testing last week. The center posts all my tests online, and all of the blood and urine tests came back normal. I was told that I would be tested for nicotine and would be cancelled if in my system. Has anyone went through this? Do you get the nicotine results back separately? I quit awhile ago, it’s just another thing for me to be nervous about. Don’t want to ask them as to raise any red flags !! Thanks for any input

The nicotine test usually takes several days to result. If you haven’t had any nicotine containing products recently you should be fine.

I saw someone's surgery canceled because she had nicotine in her system she doesn't smoke but her boyfriend smokes all through out the house when their bedroom.
