My wife is on her second gastric balloon.

The second one has been in since early July. The first one lasted eight months.

She's dropped from 122kg to 88kg. [269 pounds to 194 pounds.]

She's found it relatively easy to live with.

Yes, was wondering how the first few days were? Because as it seems right now they’re extremely challenging

First balloon was "new and challenging" and took some adjustments to chewing what she ate until it was all ground pulp.

Second balloon was an easy adjustment.

I had the balloon in may 2017 had no side effects but i only lost 20 lbs and paid 7900.00 i wish i had just skipped the ballon and gotten gastric sleeve you will gain the weight right back

The price seems extreme.

My wife has had two balloons now ... totalling 14.5 months and has lost 33kg. Her total spend has been $AUD2800 (equivalent to $USD2100).

But that comes with a follow up program that re-educates you on diet and lifestyle. (There's no point losing the weight if you don't alter your eating habits very seriously.)

My wife has not cleared all of her food triggers and emotional eating problems but her trend is good.

Did your $USD7900 not buy you additional support and training and contact with a dietitian?

I had my balloon inserted this past mon...first 48 hours were rough. But Im now 3 days post insertion and doing better.
