Driving after surgery

When did you drive after surgery? I know you can’t drive when on pain meds but I’m just wondering how many days/weeks you drove after?

Thank you guys for responding, I don’t think I will have to drive at all before 6 days post op but on day 6 I may have to drive my boys to school (about 2 miles from home) and I wanted to see where everyone else was about that time.

I drove the day after my gastric sleeve against everyones wishes. It was painful hitting bumps but I managed. You should at least wait a week or so to be safe.

At 6 days, you'll probably be fine. Try to have a backup plan in case you can't.

Good luck!
