I am 5 weeks out and in a 2 week stall have lost 27 lbs since pre-op diet. I am pleased with the weight loss so far and I have noticed some body changes in mainly my legs. I still have a big belly bloat and have not gone into any smaller sizes in anything. You would think at 27 kbs less I would at least be down 1 sz, so frustrating, just venting. Also at this stage how many ounces is everyone eating with each meal.

I've lost the most weight in my arms and legs. About 20 lbs since surgery 3 weeks ago. I'm currently in a frustrating stall. Anyway, I also feel like my stomach hasn't shrunk. It's hard to tell because I have a hernia I can't treat till my BMI is below 30. Maybe you're like me where abdominal fat is the last to go.

My surgery was 8/23. I'm still on soft foods till 9/28. I eat about 6 oz (sometimes less because of my begging dog and don't always finish) and like 3 oz for Snacks. Seems to be more than most but it's what works for me. At this stage I hear people eating tablespoons at a time and I just can't believe it. Told my surgeon I'm convinced he left my stomach too big.

You sound like me my surgery was 8/14 and I have gradually increased my food intake to 6 oz meals and 3 oz snacks as well. I was hungry all the time and that helped. But my belly is not budging. I walk about 1 1/2 miles a day and am sticking to what is on my soft food list, and getting my Protein and Water in most of the time. I still feel tired a lot and don't have the energy I was hoping for. This 2 week stall I am in is so frustrating.

Same here! I've lost 30 so far, sleeved 8/7, and though my current size is big in legs and thighs, my pants seem to still fit in the tummy or super tight in the tummy a size down. I also feel that I'm super sensitive to salt now. Had some broth from a ramen place when I was out last week with some soft tofu, I swear the next day my stomach was even bigger! And my ring is super tight.

I had surgery on 8/24 and I just broke through a 2 week stall. I eat between 2 to 3 oz per meal. I would not be able to eat 6 oz. my calorie intake is between 500 and 800 a day. I am also walking a mile a day. I have lost 13 pounds since surgery and 17 pounds during my preop diet. 30 pounds in 5 weeks.

I eat around 900 calories a day and have lost 22.5 lbs since 8/23 surgery. I walk between 2-5 miles a day between purposeful exercise and dog walks with my pup and neighbor. I swear I don't see a real difference in my body but the scale says something is happening.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
