My BMI was 39 when I started the process and I actually gained 8 lbs in those 6 months. As long as your MD writes those monthly reports saying what you're doing both diet and exercise wise, see all the other folks your insurance requires, you should be fine. I was approved after I jumped through all the hoops after the 6 month period. We had the same conversation, the insurance coordinator and I, "don't lose too much weight!" She jokingly said. Joke is on me-I gained a few and have never been able to lose more than a few lbs anyway with all my other lovely thyroid and pituitary issues. I laughed uncomfortably. It all worked out though. I think those monthly reports from your MD carry a lot of weight...no pun intended. [emoji15][emoji12]
