Approved for my surgery!!

Ive been a member for a few months reading the board.

Its been a hell of a time almost 2 year to get this approval. I schedule the surgery tomorrow and am targeting August 24th to have it done because my mother in law will be back from vacation to help.

I have a couple quick questions, I have an appointment with my Endo on Tuesday and last time she told me she would not OK me for surgery unless my a1c was under 8. It was about 9.8 six weeks back. I went to do the bloodwork at the lab yesterday but dont know the results yet. Im scared she will deny me getting the surgery.

1) what was yall a1c before surgery?

2) What tips do yall recommend to get a1c down in 5 weeks?

My nutritionist was taken aback by the ENDO saying this and said that the 2 week pre-op diet should get me to a good level.

I'll do whatever it takes especially with the added motivation that i finally got approved after medical insurance hell/hoops.

Thanks in advance!
