Hi there i have my sleeve surgery booked for the 24th july in the czech republic, i qualify as i am at the mo 200lbs with a BMI of 37
All was going well until this morning. I have recently been taking multi vitamin tablets i also suffer quite badly from IBS and cronic constipation.
I actually let the hospital know this initially but for some reason it wasnt put down on the medical form. So today when i spoke to them i asked them
if i was still ok taking my existing meds ie Buscopan for IBS and also senna or ducolax or Movicol which i take for the constipation. They are now saying this may effect the surgery
and i have to wait for them to get back to me in the next few days to let me know.
I am beside myself now i was looking forward to getting this surgery for a new life and now they are saying this.
how can a laxative that is prescibed by my GP effect surgery. If i didnt take it i would be in constant pian.
Advise please...;-(
