Allergic to Steri-Strips?

Hi all, I'm not quite two weeks post op and my incisions are coming along nicely. I've noticed that there is a couple small blistery type marks where the tape was that are sort of itchy, could I be sensitive to the tape? I've never had an operation before and don't know?

Definitely a possibility. I have a bad reaction to most adhesives. When they took off my staple covers, skin came off with them. Steristripsleave welts and weird things that look like tiny cuts. I won't even go into what Band-aid brand bandages do.

Very possible. I had tiny little blisters in patches where my steri strips were. The walk-in clinic misdiagnosed me but after one call to my surgeon I was told that alot of people have an allergic reaction to steri strips and that the blisters would go away. Sure enough they healed up fine, no problem
