Pre op diet

Hi

I am due to have my surgery next week in Perth and I am worried I haven't lost much yet! Just 3kgs. Is it possible surgery could be cancelled if I don't reach the suggested 5-10kgs loss? I've been on a 2 liquid meal and 1 VLC meal diet.

Thank you

Also you say next week... so there's a good chance you will lose more by then.

I lost 4.8 (BMI 41) on the 2 week pre-op diet. My Dr was pleased with that. [emoji3]

Good luck to you [emoji4]

  • 1 month later...

I was worried about this too. Has anyone done the diet for longer than one month? I have two months until mine, and was thinking I should give the pre-op diet a go earlier to get use to it, or maybe even lose more? Anyone tried this approach?
