Hi, I'm new here and seriously considering a band to bypass revision or a band to sleeve revision. I would like to know why you all chose the sleeve. I'm on the fence between sleeve and bypass and just would like some first hand experiences and reasons why you chose this method in hopes that it may help me decide on which would be best for me. Which procedure has your surgeon recommended?

My lap band surgeon suggested the ds but I no longer have that insurance. My ins I now have doesn't cover ds and the surgeon I saw said I would be a great candidate for either the sleeve or bypass.

I chose the Vestricto Sleeve because its less "invasive"....relocating my intestines was just too much for me...i know people can loose more weight with bypass...they have less food absorption due to "dumping" syndrome....harder to absorbed nutrient/supplements/MTV, etc....I believe u will be successful in whichever procedure u pick....maybe u want to ask on one of the "bypass" forums how they did with this procedure?...best of luck to u!
