Post op weight gain?

Hey everyone. I had my surgery on 04/18. So ten days have gone by. The first week I struggled getting 2oz of protein shake per day down. And would attempt to drink water. Now, I'm on soft foods. But I'm gaining weight. Is this normal. I was down 7 lbs since surgery and now I'm back up a pound and a half. What's really going on? Has anyone had similar issues?

Yes, this weight fluctuation has happened many times for me over the past 9 months. Usually it's just water weight fluctuations. Don't sweat it. It's normal. Just keep following your program and you'll start losing again.

I gained about that much and maintained for about 5 weeks after. I didn't really start to lose until I could eat real food again! I just stayed off the scale for a while and followed my plan.

I have a pound of gain or so whenever I stop getting in my 100oz of liquid a day. Water water water.

Drink more water. It sounds like your body is in survival mode and trying to hold as much as it can to keep you alive. Drink drink drink and wait for the pee pee pee when it decides it's ok not to hold on to it anymore. [emoji23]
