I am 6 days post op and have only had one. Starting to think I'm going to have to take a laxative. I think tomorrow I'm going to go get some milk of magnesia or some other liquid lax.

Everyone's body is different, but stay on top of it, I was a week out before I had my first BM, and then it was another week, I could feel the discomfort building. Milk of magnesium is the only laxative my dr allows. It works great for me. Stay up on your water, and I found dulcolax suppositories sometimes can help get things started. I currently take benefiber each morning to and it seems to be helping.

I had surgery 4/7 - had one BM which is a total mystery to me because I've had liquids for a week before surgery and since surgery- not sure what is in my system to come out- so not worried about it yet.... haven't had any pressure to go either... hang in there
