special k protein water

i was just wondering if anyone else had tried this? i bought the strawberry kiwi flavor and its pretty good.

also, i havent seen much posted about nutritional shakes, like ensure or boost. (and maybe i havent looked hard enough??). are these good/ok to use post-op? i bought some of the walmart brand. it has 9grams Protein in the 8 oz can.

and i was reading how you can add powder milk to things to up the protein. how much do you add? how do you know how much protein?

thanks! and sorry...new to this and trying to get a few more things figured out before thursday!

I didnt care for the isopure either. And I think 40 g protein is too much for one sitting

I have been adding flavorless protien powder to OJ in the mornings before I go to school. I sip that all day and then maybe have a piece of cheese for a snack. I stay full, which is great b/c I get so busy. I am hoping that I am getting enough nutrients. I feel great. After adding more protien to my diet I am losing more.

what kind of protein powder are you adding to the oj? Looking for something with no taste.

i like the special k waters. but i was at walmart today and they had next to the 4 bottle 4-pack for 5.68 a box of special k protein mix (like the crystal lights to go). there were 10 in a box for the same $ as 4 bottles! i figure in a pinch - i will leave some in the hubbys car. and they were 30 cals i think.

If I ever see/taste/smell another powdered whey Protein shake I will gag.

I started adding New Whey liquid Protein - Fruit Punch to my Crystal Light on the days that I knew I wanst going to make my protein quota. The "shot" has 42 grams of protein in one 3.1 Fluid ounce,176 calories, 0 fat, 0 sugar, 0 saturated fat, 31 mgs Potassium, 64 mgs Sodium, 2 Total Carbs, 0 cholesterol. I split it into 2 servings and space them apart. Works for me.

beth, sorry I've been away. I use ...

from Vitamin Shop, it has 30 servings. It says "virtually tasteless" but it does have a slight vanilla flavor so with OJ it tastes like a thin smoothie. Works for me anyway.
