GERD or NAH?

Hello All,

I am new to BariatricPal. I was sleeved in 2015 (Jan) and ever since that day I have been nauseous, I've had heartburn and little to no appetite. I am in the process of possibly getting a revision, if that will help with all of the afformentioned. I barely eat or drink and I am hoping my surgeon will order tests to better understand my situation. I have searched for what I was experiencing and the only thing I learned was that others are or were having the same complications, but some received no explanation from their doctors.

At this point I am wondering if my complications are serious enough for my insurance to cover the costs. And also if what I am experiencing could be GERD.

Sounds like GERD.

One of the big components of it too is having the feeling like you're going to burp but it winds up being regurgitated food/drink.

Definitely get the assessment from your doctor though, they might order other tests too. I have moderate GERD/reflux going into a sleeve next month and crossing my fingers it doesn't make this any worse or I could be facing a revision too.
