Why is Dr Naaman retiriing?

Dr. Naaman (Houston, Texas) put in my lap band in August, 2006. I just found out that he is retiring. He is only 64 years old. I don't think he sold his practice since he is giving out a list of 3 different doctors who will see his patients.

Does anyone have any info?

I am so freaking out about this....I have an appointment scheduled with him on November 2nd, or at least I thought I did. The other docs in my area are not very experienced in the band, (just started banding 1 year ago). I absolutely think Naaman is/was the bomb! I am so totally bummed!

Does anyone have any info?

I called today and they did not give me any info, I was pissed off because I called to confirm my November 2nd appointment and they tell me I have to reschedule for another day so that Naaman can do a final check with me. I am a teacher and have already made major arrangements to be off, not to mention have 2 other appointments that day to see other docs. Anyway, I asked if Julius will be working for another doctor who does obesity surgery and they tell me no. So, I am really really down in the dumps today! :o

I guess maybe he is retiring because "he can."
