I'm not sure when your surgery was but for several months after surgery my stomach made all sorts of strange and loud sounds...it's very normal! Even now after over 8 months from time to time mine will do a little loud talking...haha

Honestly I don't know the medical reason it happens but know that it's very normal.

In our program they said it's because your stomach is now finally empty between meals so it seems like the digestion is louder. They said it's totally normal. If you're using a straw to drink that makes it worse because you're taking in air too. Good luck.
