Food not going down

I am 34 days post op and in general im feeling great. I can pick my one year old up again and my side has pretty much quit hurting unless im really tired. My issue is im starting to try to eat protein and not just drink it. And one day it will go down just fine but the next it will kill me. I have pain all the way up and down my back. Today i was lucky enough it actually came up but on Sunday i was not, i was in pain for like 5 hours on Sunday. Both times it was meat. On sunday i ate sliced roast beef with sauce and i kind of understood maybe it was too soon. But today i ate tuna, ive eaten tuna just fine other times. Is this normal? I have already had one dilation and i have a dr apt tomorrow.
