Why are there passwords?

Why is there password protection on the LGBTQ specialized forum and NOT one on the Gay,Lesbian, Bisexual &Trans forum (this one)?

Why is this forum so dead? Nobody has said anything since October. I know cuffing season is over but... Nobody got nothing to say?
