Nervous about liquid diet

I am having my surgery on Oct. 17 and I am REALLY nervous about the liquid diet. I have not met with the dr. yet so i don't know all that entails... could you guys fill me in a little and give some tips on how to get through it???? :car:

Its not really that bad. I did 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after surgery. Just drink a lot of water/crystal light. It helps fill you up. For the liquid diet, I used a lot of chicken broth and turkey broth. Right after surgery and lasting almost 2 weeks, I did the protein shakes twice a day and broth for lunch. Good Luck....Dave

I just started my second week of the pre op liquid diet and actually after the first 2 days, it wasn't bad. My doctor does let me have a lean and green dinner so that helps, but the two liquid meals were fairly easy and filling.

God Bless

Oh I forgot to add that i ditto what Dave said about the crystal light. The Raspberry Ice is my favorite. Never thought I could go a week with caffeine to soda but if I keep my eye on the prize (slimmer figure) I can do it.
