4 weeks post op and food troubles

I am 4 weeks post op as of tomorrow. I started the soft food stage Sunday. At this point I'm still, I'm still unable to handle much. I eat very slowly but still it's hurts after I eat. Sunday I had some food and only ate about 5 bites and done. Right now the thought of food kinda makes me nauseous. Is this normal? Should I call the dietitian or doctor to see if I should step back a stage?

Thanks!

I am a little over 4 months out and I still can't eat much..probably about 5 bites too. I'm at around 2-3 ounces. I think what you are experiencing is normal. My doc always said that if I cant handle the next step to go ahead and go back to the previous stage. Just listen to your body and you should do fine.

I don't think it ever hurts to call n talk to the doc and/or the dietician about your concerns..
