Drinking

I was always a drinker...not as in alcohol, but in regular drinks. I always had a Water or something with me. I was sleeved on 11/7/16 and I am missing the ability to really get a good drink. The little sips just aren't doing it and I feel like I am constantly thirsty, but can't quench that thirst. I mentioned it to my doctor and he kind of shrugged- not much help. I know I can't guzzle down a glass of anything, but I hope that this passes soon.

There was a great deal of sleeve stretching talk in my pre op classes as well. It didn't occurred to me till just now that this is misinformation and I'm going to mention it to the program coordinator. I suggest that others who were told this at their programs do the same.

I agree in principle, and will most likely bring it up, but I doubt it will do any good. It is fighting corporate inertia. I had an in depth conversation with my nutritionist about Genepro, which they recommend regularly, explaining that you can't put two pounds of poop in a one pound bag. She nodded her head and said , yeah yeah yeah, but I got the distinct impression she is still telling people how great it is. I don't know for sure, but I do know how corporate cultures stultify independent thinking or new ideas.

I'm an administrator at the hospital so I think I can get their attention.

I recommend that people who are given misinformation by medical staff report it to who ever sets policy.
