I rolled up a little goat cheese in smoked salmon with a couple leaves of fresh tarragon. It was my go-to snack for a while.

When I went into my solids phase, I asked my wife to make a pot roast and just cook it in the crock pot until it was falling apart at the slightest touch, basically. That worked out quite nicely for me, though I hear some people have problems with beef early on after surgery.

Anything cooked in a crock pot that is basically so tender, it falls apart. As suggested, roast is good as is chicken or pork. People also do a mexican.layer dip which is transitional, ground beef then refried beans with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, cheese, anything else you'd like. Just eat it with a spoon and give the chips to the family.
