Would you be peeved?

I have a borther, to whom I am especially close. He is 13 years younger than I am and just moved from San Fran to NYC last summer. Has a big fancy job for the first time in his life and lives in Manhattan.

He has a girlfriend who has been to WI to visit twice and I like her very much. She is bright, articulate and fun. When they returned to NYC after the summer visit, I heard thru my mother that they had broken up and that L. had said some particularly hurtful things to my bro.

They are now back together--which is good, since I like her--right? I spent a load of cash for Christmas presents for him--had them sent to her apt. with her permission. (they don't live together) Asked her specifically to make sure they were gifty looking (the gifts are an assortment of gift cards) and to hide them from him until Christmas.

Got an instant message from her tonight--said how much he loved his gifts!

Um, hello! It isn't even close to Christmas and it makes me sad that he won't have anything to open on the actual day. NOt to mention that it's totally inappropriate for her to thank me for him---what a control freak!

Ugh--I am so peeved and disappointed.
