The insurance runaround

I feel as if this surgery is nothing but a dream. I've heard so many different things from insurance about having to go to a center of excellence it's ridiculous. I cancelled one consultation for another almost 300 miles from me (closest qualifying hospital) just to have insurance tell me I don't necessarily have to go there yet and that I can advocate to go somewhere closer to me. So now is the waiting game, to see if my advocate can convince my insurance to let me go to an in network doctor near me (fingers crossed for this option), or if I have to go to a center of excellence. So now I'm just sitting around...I was really hoping to get the surgery this year, during my break from school, but it's looking like that may not happen:( it's just so frustrating.

It's tough, I know, but try not to get discouraged. It took me a year to get through my requirements and I thought my day would never come. But it did and now I'm nearly 14 months out and it was worth it all. I'd do it all again even if I had to wait five years.

And once it happens all this waiting will feel like nothing, just a distant dream. Just don't give up. ????
