When does GERD go away? Does it?

I was sleeves 10/1/14 and still have to take omeprozale daily. I feel dependent on it at this point. Anyone else dealing with the same thing? I never had issues with GERD until I had surgery

    I'm 4 1/2 months out and have horrible GERD. I'm being converted to RNY on the 30th due to the reflux. My docs said it should not last more than 2-3 months
