Emotional eating

It has been nearly a year since I lost weight and I have gained back 30 pounds. Why? Emotional eating.

Anyone have advice?

Therapy. Support Groups. Going back to basics. Make an appointment with your NUT. Overeaters Anonymous. Track your food and focus on protein and fluids.

  • I'm scared of this. Does weight come on faster/easier than normal once you've had bariatric surgery?

Instead of eating go for a walk or run... Go outside, color, find something to do with your hands that way you won't want to snack. If you have animals get a bag of treats give one piece to them instead of feeding yourself. I have horses and that's what I do I hold the food and give them it instead of me

I like that!!! It's really creative! I've got dogs, guinea pigs, and a cat... I know they'd love to eat in my stead ????

I work at a bakery so that has been a huge issue. I'd quit but my parents own it and everything I do is to help them semi retire. Nothing is ever easy lol. And no matter what I do there will always be excuses. Distracting myself is a good idea. Any thoughts for alternatives at work?

It's taken longer for me to put this weight back on than it did before the surgery. But the big thing is that this is the issue I dealt with before the surgery, the reason I was fat to begin with.

Surgery won't fix those things.

But, surgery WILL give you a fighting chance!
