Update: 2 Days Post-OP

Hey everyone! I know I said I felt like crap after my surgery, and boy, did I ever! But today I feel pretty good! I'm no longer feeling the gas pains in my shoulder and the cramping feeling in my legs is almost gone. My stomach barely hurts at all. My incisions aren't even that tender. My only challenges are drinking 64 oz of liquid and emptying my bladder. I've probably only gotten in 30 oz at most today. It's really hard because there's still excess gas in my stomach, so even when I sip, it feels like a gas bubble is getting stuck in my esophagus and popping in my stomach. Also, I'm having a hard time emptying my bladder. For some reason, I always get Post-Operative Urinary Retention after surgery. It only lasts for about 3-5 days. But gosh, it's so annoying and uncomfortable.

Other than that, I'm doing great! I can't wait until Tuesday, when I can start drinking my protein shakes and having tomato soup. Yummy! :D

I'm so happy to hear that! Is swallowing easier? I'm still having a bit of a hard time.

Tomorrow is my last day on clear fluids. I'm so excited because I actually love Protein shakes. I'm getting kinda sick of broth and Powerade Zero, lol! Thanks for your response! <3
