Most worried about ...

Craziest thing ... You would think I'd most be worried about valid things like pain after surgery, worrying it won't work, worrying it will work too good and I'll lose too much and the list goes on - I certainly have thought of all that and more but the closer my date comes and every time I eat out I wonder how I'm going to pull this off! What I mean is that I have to attend a lot of luncheons, events, business dinners, etc. I've chosen to tell only my immediate family. My first issue will be a convention about 3 weeks out from surgery. How am I going to eat meals with the people I'm going with?! Suggestions? The only thing I can come up with is that I have a stomach virus and just "eat" in my room. I'll need to carry food with me or go shopping when I get there I'm sure,

  • LMAO about the comment about "it working too good and I'll loose too much". If only that was the case. Hilarious. Just tell 'em you've been queasy from stomach bug. At 3 weeks you'll be on a

  • @@NewAdventure2016 - I had to go to a business conference for a couple of days while I was on liquids. I just told the banquet staff, all I want is soup...and I'm sitting here. They took care of it.

At 3 weeks I might try to opt out. Eating out is hard for me at 3 & 1/2 months out. I only go with people who know that I've had surgery and still I feel a weird pressure to look normal while consuming my tiny portions. Prefer restaurants with small plates (though even then, I only eat a small amount of the small plate) - like 1 coconut shrimp from a small plate of 4, 1/2 of the salmon off of a small plate of 3 salmon mini sliders, picked just the ahi tuna out of an ahi ceviche. Waiters and waitresses ask a lot of "is everything ok" type of questions. chicken wings are also good - easy to just eat a bit off them and look "normal". Hope I'll get over this one day, but I had a lap band before and felt the same way.

Good luck!
