Best Decision I Ever Made.

I had my lapband removed and converted to gastric bypass on March 7 2016. Forever gone is the constant sliming, throwing up, and the worst reflux ever,( which included several bouts of aspiration pneumonia). This is the best I have felt in years. My HW 265. My initial visit weight-255. My current weight.......I'm in onederland!! 195. I need to lose 10 more before September 18...a cruise to Bermuda!! My goal is 155, although that dosent seem ever possible. I think I am definitely slower at this than most...but feel better than I have for years. Anyone else going this slow?? Maybe I've lost all I am going to?? Even if....it was worth it!!post-290314-14698501811443_thumb.jpg

I am band to bypass on 2/2/16. SW 259 CW is 187, so I think you're right on track. Us revisions tend to lose slightly slower because our bodies have already gone through a wls and like with being preg

  • @@nursey10465 You will get there! I did not believe I would ever go from 310 to 165 either and I was a slow loser. It took me 18 months mostly because I had 2 back surgeries and a shoulder surgery d

I had band removed in February 2016. Weight started coming back just got revised to rny. Weight is dropping Proves if you follow the rules RNY works. Once you have the taste of being normal weight for eight years , it is hard to go back. Best of luck to you

If it helps, I'm revising from band to sleeve and my surgeon says that with today's techniques, results from the sleeve are close to the bypass with very few of the side effects or possible future issues of the bypass. So I agreed to the sleeve.

Great job and thanks for posting. I'm having complications with my band and am debating sleeve or bypass, but am leaning towards bypass. Were they able to remove your band and do the bypass in 1 surgery?

My surgeon made me wait 8 months before I got the sleeve. The sleeve surgery was way easier than anything! So happy 4 weeks out 25 lbs lighter.
