Memphis recommendation - Dr. Weaver

Just wanted to recommend Dr. Virginia McGrath-Weaver to anyone who is considering having their surgery in Memphis. (Or even if you aren't, since I didn't consider it until finding out that my insurance would only pay for two surgeons in the entire state.) She is AWESOME. She's got a great bedside manner, and she's a really good surgeon. Very supportive, also. The nutritionist that works for her, Kat, is tops, too. Everyone that I've talked to at the center was really friendly and very accepting of lap-band patients. They don't seem critical of the band, like a lot of bariatric folks do.

Hello I was looking around this web site today and found your about Dr. Weaver. She is the Dr. that my Ins company is sending me to. If you don't mine I would like to ask you a couple of questions about the whole thing. I am going to the Dietitian on Jan 6. I am wondering if I do all the other pre-op test before my Ins approval. I just don't know how long it will take Tricare to approve it. And how long after you saw the Dietitian did you have your surgery? Thanks for whatever help you can give me.
