Approval Date So Far Out

So, I finished up all my requirements and my doctors office filed last week for my surgery approval. I called BCBS of MA today to see if it was submitted and they told me I was APPROVED!!! Yahoo!!

BUT... They said I had approval for inpatient between September 26th-October 8th? What does this mean? Has anyone heard of this before? If so, can I push it up once I ask my doctors office? I was in there last week and they said they were booking for the end of July, so I know there is no way it's filled up 2 months in the past 4 business days :-(

Now I'm stressing. Help me find some clarity! All replies welcomed :-)

My approval was as of 9/1 - which was apparently what was filled out by the surgeon's office on the approval request. The insurance coordinator said they can change that if I have all my testing done before then. I'm not counting on it though because nothing has been scheduled - I haven't heard from them at all.

I also finished all of my requirements in June but was given a 8/31 date . I was not happy at first but am realizing now as time is quickly passing that I am learning a lot in the extra 1 1/2 months prior to surgery. Not to mention getting things in order so I can rest after. My husband will be 2 weeks after me. Take the extra time it will be here before you know it . Good luck
