Had my VSG on August 18th. Still sore and nauseous but trying to get the liquid in. Wish you the best of luck

I'm 5 days in now and not having any issues with liquids. I had some pre-maid Protein drinks and even yogurt. How's your progress going?

I am doing okay. Getting in all my liquids I just need to increase my protein. I can not have yogurt yet. My surgeon has me on a 3 week liquid diet.i can have puréed soups with the rest of the liquids I am allowed.

I have finally got better at getting my liquid in. I had a few break downs here and there but it's getting better. My right side where they removed my stomach hurts a lot when I sneeze laugh or cough. Hopefully that goes away soon!

When was your VSG?

I'm a 49, I believe a "mans man" and I just bought myself a dozen jars of baby food. At least I got food for 2 month old.

It really is Patti. I wasn't 100% compliant with the pre-op (mine was calorie reduction to 700, with 2 shakes a day) when I went over it was with an extra salad or more Protein, no junk food. It was difficult but it will all work out.

Thank you. Ive tried this once b4 but had to cancel due to husbands illness. It was a different Hospital n dr. And they allowed food like Protein bars. This one is noo food. just 500 cals. Causes my low blood sugar to crash often. Dieticiam gave me the choice of another Water based Protein Drink. Ugh.lol
