Banded tomorrow!

Hi all, i'm getting banded tomorrow and I am super nervous and excited... Very weird feeling! Anything I should expect 24 hours post surgery? Apart from hoping to wake up looking like Barbie lol!

I remember when i had my band (mind you this was 6 years ago.. im sure things would be better now)

When i awoke in recovery i felt this need to dryheave.. and was pretty groggy.. this passed a few minutes later.

Once i was back in my room.. i felt a little tired and tight around my chest. By the evening i was walking around.

The sensation of getting water/broth down was odd from memory, not painful just odd.

There was no pain, just a "ive worked out my stomach" kind of feeling

Other than that.. it was a relatively easy recovery.. i was out shopping by day 5

I was able to drink a couple of hours after coming out of recovery.... but its a different sensation to normal, not painful, just different like a tightness.

Tip, don't try and guzzle your Water, sip slowly and frequently and relax. You'll get more fluids in this way.

Goodluck with your surgery... feel free to ask any questions
