Humana Insurance

Does anyone have Humana insurance? Has anyone bben approved without the total 6 month supervised diet? How long for approval? Has anyone heard if they have dropped the 6 month supervised diet? I heard through my doctors office that some of the policies have dropped the 6 month supervised diet.:nervous

Hello Wanda, the best thing to do is to call your insurance company with your card in hand and ask them. While someone else's Humana policy may have dropped the requirement, yours may not have. Or vice versa. Everyone's policy can be different with different riders. If yours has not dropped the requirement, then that's what it is, a requirement. No getting around it. I had to do 12 months. Six months would have been WONDERFUL!

I have heard that the 6 month diet has been dropped on some policies...I heard that from my doctors office. You would know I heard it on my last visit of the six month supervised dieting. I don't know if it applies to my policy or not...but it doesn't matter, as I've completed all six months anyway. Also, I had to see a pschologist ...now a dietician and I'm done. Then I start the waiting gain.
