One month from surgery and not losing

Hi all, I had my surgery on 2/8/16 and was losing well and not having any troubles. I went for my one month checkup and had only lost 8 pounds from my previous visit (at one week post op). I started at 344, lost to 325 prior to surgery, and have now been stuck at 297 ish. My surgeon says to only eat when I am hungry. ..not a problem since I don't really feel hungry. I can handle a 5 Oz container of yogurt and a fourth to half a cup of Soups, cottage cheese and refried Beans. I was finally able to eat a scrambled egg two days ago. I do low impact aerobics and walk. I plan to start Water aerobics and swimming next week now that I am cleared to. What am I doing wrong???

when you visit the doctor do you also get to see a NUT? you may be not eating enough as crazy as that can be.

Congratulations! You have reached The Dreaded Week-3 Stall. It's perfectly normal, and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or even longer. But don't worry – after that, the pounds will start falling off if you stick to your program. And, the inches will continue to come off even while the scale isn't budging. Here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight again!

(Apologies to BP regulars who have seen this repeatedly, but it's a big deal to those who are going through it!)
