They are looking at a variety of Vitamin levels, your Protein, your Calcium. It seems like they take 10 small bottles of blood. I should have been a blood donor.

I think they just checked Vitamin, calcium, and Protein levels for me, too. And Iron levels. They also did a lipid profile, but that's only because my PCP wanted one because I was due for one, and I saw her the same week as I had my six-month checkup with my bariatric surgeon . I asked him to do it while they were checking for everything else - that way I didn't have to go back for a second blood draw.
