Clearing notifications on phone

Since downloading the latest upgrade to the app on my iPhone, I can't figure out how to "clear" notifications (the number in the red bubble next to the app's pic). They just keep accumulating. How can I clear them? Thanks!

@@RoadToMe that's how many people that have liked your post or quoted what you've posted. On the opening page there is 3 lines to the top right of the screen. If you click that and go down to notifications and select the "bell" it should clear that number.

eTA. You can also turn off notifications in your app settings on you phone.

I can't get it to go off even after doing this. My app on my phone still shows over 500 notifications. Makes me crazy

Sometimes phones get hung up....mine read that I had a "phantom" unread email for months.. I went insane lol. I would turn off the app's notifications
