Was anyone my same height/weight before surgery?

Hi everyone, I'm in my 6 month insurance "waiting period" and have been reading a lot of the threads on this site to absorb as much info as possible. I've been seeing a lot of posts about people losing like 40 pounds in the first 5 weeks and things like that and I was wondering if anyone was 5'2, 195 pounds before surgery and what your weight loss was like? I know everyone is different but I am interested to hear the experience of those people who were close to my same weight and height so I can get a baseline of what to expect. Again, I know that everyone is different and people lose differently so I won't let it influence my exceptions. Mostly just curious. I'm not sure if it matters but I'm 34. Thanks for sharing! ????

That is so exciting! Unfortunately, I didn't start the process until the end of December so my surgery likely won't be until August. Please keep me updated on your surgery and progress! I'm sure you will do awesome.

My highest weight was 230. Surgery date was 1/7/16. Weight at discharge was 216. Today, 2/15/16 181.1. My height was 5'3.5"

I'm taller and just a few pounds heavier at time of sleeve (5'6" and 200 pounds, which is a 33 BMI). I lost 30 pounds the first three months, 20 pounds the next three months, and 8 pounds the last two months. I'm 8 pounds from my goal and I anticipate reaching it by my 11 month mark. There are several "Low BMI" threads on here that may be of interest to you, because low BMI folks don't drop the huge numbers of those with significantly higher BMIs. Good luck!
