Almost there

I had all of my pre-op testing yesterday and now have the official green light. :clap2: I meet with the dietician on Thursday (Aug. 2) to find out what my pre-op diet will be. I am scared and excited at the same time. I want this to work so bad, but fear failing again. I wish there was a group closer to my home. So far I have to drive 80 miles to the closest one. Thank goodness for all of you!

I will let you all know what the dietician says. Banding date is Aug. 15:whoo:

Good for you! Yay! What's your pre-op diet? I'm sure we all fear failing, but that's what we're all here4 for, is to help each other out! Keep us posted, I can't wait to see how it goes for you!

If you want to do this, you can. If you don't want to meet your goals you won't.

I had my hungry times and I had to eat a lot of sf popsicles to get past it.

If your pre-op diet is like mine, it was liquid. Protein shakes; ff milk; be sure to have the sf popsicles and sf Jello on hand. Also I found that mixing a vanilla Protein shake with pre mixed crystal light (most any flavor) instead of milk or plain Water provided a nice flavor change.

Good Luck; I've been VERY happy with my band thus far. No issues to speak of.

I too am far from my doc and support group; this site is invaluable for answering most questions, and feeling connected.

Thanks everyone. My pre-op diet is not so bad. I have to drink to Protein shakes a day and one lean meal (chicken, fish and non starchy veggies). I have been making my own shakes with Protein powder and fruit. They are not to bad. They also said I can have a half cup of cottage cheese or low fat cheese stick. I miss the sugar real bad. I only have 8 days to go!:clap2:

See you later,

JP
