I was going to say the same after thyroid. I did have hot flashes and I actually had a hysterectomy a few years ago and am on replacement hormone so it wasn't that! It could be your thyroid but likely not this quickly (unless you had thyroid issues before surgery). The most likely culprit is the pain med (if you are still taking it). I find that it can cause that for me.

How old are you? I started menopause at 36, and was done by 48-ish. No other symptoms besides a handful of hot flashes at 36, then no symptoms & periods stopped by 48. Doc thought I was too young, so poked, prodded and tested. Made me bleed 2 more times, then labs came back and VOILA post-menopause!! Which is what I told her to begin with, lol!!

Thanks for the input ladies! I actually think it might be the pain meds judging from timing of their occurrence. Thyroid was fine a week ago per pre op blood panel and i still get periods like clockwork.

I'm still in quite a bit of pain on day 4 so I'll just have to suck up the flashes i think.
