Having second thoughts....

Well I've been doing tons of reading of success stories, horror stories, good advice bad advice the whole nine. I am stuck in a fork in the road I am really really starting to think I should not do this. Yes I love food I was a chef in training for crying out loud (years ago many many many years ago). Food isn't the reason I've put on weight however food is a comforter for me when I am stressed. I'm hate vomiting and I have other issues that's require me to eat like low blood sugar. How am I suppose to go through with this without tons of regrets? Oh geesh I was so sure until now....I need a good mentor or something somebody help!!

I want to thank Frankie's girl for your post. You put everything I feel and think into words. I'm scheduled for Gastric Sleeve on Feb. 29, 2016 and would love to have a buddy/mentor. So many emotions involved.. How do we communicate on here? Or maybe another source.. Thanks again and Have a good day.

I think you can private message on here

I too had second thoughts about my sleeve. The more I read the more I was confused and unsure about making the right decision. I just keep coming back to feeling like if I didn't do this then what. I knew I would keep gaining weight and feeling like I should have taken the chance to be thin and happy.

I had my surgery on December 14th and so far I have felt everything from happiness to sadness . I have read that it is normal to have these feelings at first. I will feel better about my decision once I can really eat normal food.

But! There is nothing better than seeing the weight come off and your body looking good!! Take a chance on yourself, I don't think u will regret it.

I had my surgery on December 14th also. I am losing weight, but I am doing it very slowly, for some reason. I was close to 500 pounds and now I weigh 355, which sounds good, but I weighed 420, the day of surgery. I am having a hard time right now and my body image issues are horrible.
