How Soon To Start

I was wondering when's a good time to start exercising after getting banded?

I just got banded 8 days ago. And i want to exercise soon while i'm on summer break, before school starts and i'm all busy.

I'd like to join a gym maybe. Or start walking very soon.

My port is still swelled. i'm not in major pain. and i hadn't tested my endurance.. but i was wondering what everyone's advice on this?

Start walking NOW. Go a little, if you get tired, stop. But the important thing is to start as soon as possible. It is way too easy so put it off and soon not do it at all!!!

I would ask your doc when he/ she gives the ok to "workout " for me my doc said walk the day after surgery . But no working out for until 6 weeks post op, no lifting anything more than 20 lbs for 6wks post op .

So like others have said start walking now , Ask your doc though when he/she gives the ok for work outs more than that
