MS & LapBand surgery

I am 5'2 and 222lbs with Multiple Sclerosis. I have been wanting to get Lap Band surgery for many years. My neuro doc told me I could after I am on treatment for 12 mos. But does anyone know if this will be a problem for me?

I do not have any advice yet, but I also have MS, relapsing-remitting, and my surgery is on 8/1 I am alittle afraid of the effect that the surgery will have on my body but I think in the long run it will be a good thing

Have either or both of you already had your surgery? I also have MS and my Neuro thought it would be great for me to have this done. I want to know your experiences that you had with the surgery and MS? The Doc. was saying that sometimes with surgeries, it brings on an exacerbation. Did either of you have a new symptom following the surgery?

Thanks for your help!
