I'm December 21st too! I start pre-op diet Monday the 14th, go for pre-op appointments all day on the 16th. So nervous and so excited! Let's keep in touch!

Preop not gonna be fun...trying to think of this time and the rest of my life as food is merely sustanence and not as fun or rewarding.

I am anxious about it too but just trying to look at it as just another step in the process. Good luck to you!

Ok...just starting Day 1 of my preop diet. How restrictive are your diets? I can have as many protein shakes as I want. I am allowed boneless skinless chicken and turkey, water packed tuna., broth, sugar free Popsicles and jello and of course crystal light, powerade zero, etc.

First time but have read a lot post so helpful. Thanks everyone.

Surgery date 12/22/15. 2 week pre-op 30-40 carbs. Amazing how quickly I can use those up. Also stopped coffee,first day was tough. I'm ok but that is what I have missed the most. Did not want to go through withdrawal at same time of my surgery.

I am 67 so I'm feeling a little nervous about the recovery.

I stopped my diet coke yesterday! I had already cut WAY back, but yesterday was first day with NONE! Not too bad...

I work as well but I took 3 weeks off. I always take 2 weeks for the holidays anyway. Luckily my kids are 14 and 19 so I have helpers!

I feel you! I have twin 17month olds. The biggest Hong for me about recovery is not being able to pick them up for 6 weeks!

I've got a killer headache and since my family is pigging out on thin crust pizza (my fav!) I'm going to go take a bubble bath! Ha!
